We are delighted to invite you to the 5th annual Festival of Fermentation products of the Northwest Bulgaria. This year the festival will take place at the Crafts center of Prevala village. Fermentfestbg is an event celebrating and promoting foods and drinks made the traditional way, as a result of fermentation processes – natural wines, craft beers, handmade cheese, yogurt, pickles, sourdough bread. Join us and enjoy tasting sessions, workshops, lectures, music, new friends, and lots of fun!
The festival is organized by “Sinevka” and “Borovitza” winery with the special support of “America for Bulgaria Foundation”, Chiprovtzi municipality and “Farm Charm” organic store.
Krockmach
Valeri Neshov is one of the best recognized cooks in Bulgaria. He is co-owner and founder of the company “Krokmach” and winner of Bacchus magazine “Author’s cuisine” award for 2010.
Buttermilk, hard sheep cheese
He is a Bulgarian chef with many TV appearances. He has written two cookbooks. He has 34 years of experience in some of the most famous restaurants in Bulgaria, 12 years experience abroad, 6 of which in Spain.
The festival features the presentation of traditional local products and foods and a variety of cultural activities.
Kefir and Kimchi
Livadi is a policultural farm taking care of various animals in a sustainable way. It is located 6 km. away from Sandanski in the direction of Kulata and on the territory of Damyanitsa winery.
Hot sauce, beer, cider
Couple of good friends united around the idea of making authentic fermented foods and drinks, who like to share what they have learned about the forgotten art of fermentation and have fun along the way.

Gorna Bela Rechka is a village with a population of approximate 50 people in the outskirts of North-West Bulgaria, Municipality Varshets. The village is the centre of the international festival of memories GOATMILK.
Goat milk “Bela Rechka” offers products made from goat milk – yoghurt and white cheese.
The dairy products of the cow farm and dairy “Borovitsa” originate from the Belogradchik area – the “Borov kamak” region. The nature, the clean air and the closed production process guarantee the purity of the farm’s products.
Cow farm “Borovitsa” offers dairy products such as white cheese, cheese, yoghurt, mozzarella and cottage cheese, produced only from its own milk, which guarantees the quality of the products.
Farm “Pendanski brothers” is located in Altimir village, municipality Byala Slatina.
Farm “Replyanka”, established in 2007, raises around 600 sheep of a traditional local breed – the Replyanka sheep. The farm is located in the heart of the west part of Stara Planina. It also houses a demonstration center for the production of yoghurt and white cheese.
Farm “Replyanka” offers hand-made dairy products without artificial additives – sheep milk, sheep cheese and sheep yoghurt.
Teodor Pushkarov is a hereditary beekeeper, who inherited the craft from his grandfather. He lives in Montana and his apiary is located in the small mountain village Melyane. Teodor views beekeeping not just as a business or a livelihood, for him this is his life calling.
The brewery is located in Chiprovtsi and has interesting history behind it. The idea comes from Tsvetomir’s love for the production of drinks. “Chiprovtsi beer” delights its consumers with its refined taste.
